Throughout the civil struggle, two leaders emerged. In the North, Abraham Lincoln was the leader while in the Confederate States, they had Jefferson Davis. both of these leaders face diametric challenges that they had to overcome. Some have assorted trusts on who was the better leader. In my opinion I conjecture Abraham Lincoln was the better leader even though Jefferson Davis had different and more difficult tasks.
Abraham Lincoln, our 16th prexy in my opinion was the better leader. James McPherson said it himself, he is the only president whose entire administration was bounded by war.(Owens). During this time of war e reallyone looked up to this man, everyone stood by his decisions. It said that Abraham Lincoln had no precedents to caper to and thats what do him smart and keen. Lincoln knew what to do with his forces like the time when rebels started to fire at Fort Sumter. He sent 75000 troops to the Fort to serve 90 days. Lincoln knew what he had to do in order for him to succeed and boost the war. He knew how to command is military. He besides knew what was right for his people. He didnt take his power for granted either. Lincoln was in that location to win the war and not to fool around. Thats what made him a great leader.
He looked at the whole scenery and he knew what needed to be done. Lincoln also faced war dilemmas. He blockaded Southern ports because he believed that states could not legally secede and that accordingly, the Confederacy was a fiction(Owens). He also had to navigate the treacherous waters of partisan politics in order to prosecute the war. This made it even bafflinger on him. He also made good decisions to elect generals and he was very strategic. Through his hardships, Lincoln didnt back down and he helped the Union pursue its victory over the Confederate States of America.
