The Batek of Malaysia Casandra Smith ANT 101 Bernando Rios June 21, 2012 For my research paper I will be discussing the Batek of Malaysia. I will discuss this enculturations primary mode of subsistence which is planetary hunters and gatherers. I will also discuss different aspects of their culture including their beliefs and values, companionable and economic organization, kinship and gender dealings. The Batek of Malaysia are endemic people who live in Malaysia residing mostly in the Taman Negara subject Park. The Batek are a foraging culture of hunters and gatherers.
